Net in Dreams

Net appears in dreams as a compact instrument of agency. It is not merely a thing but a capacity made visible: a concentrated capacity: the dream has frozen an action into a thing so the dreamer can study how it is used. Objects in dreams often feel disproportionately important because they gather action, memory and consequence into something the hand can hold. The question is never only what the net is, but what it allows, refuses, hides, protects or makes possible.
